To do gorilla trekking, you will need to have purchased a gorilla trekking permit from the Uganda wildlife Authority but we can help you book your permit at no extra cost. With a gorilla trekking permit, you wil have full access to the gorillas for about 1hour but if you prefer spending more time, you will need a gorilla habituation permit which allows you to stay close to the gorillas for more than an hour. It might be a thrilling experience but we promise you that there’s no experience like this.
While here, you will also get the opportunity to visit the Batwa community who initially settled within the park but following its establishment to pave way for conservation of the gorillas and other wildlife species, they were resettled in areas surrounding the park.

Detailed 5 Days Uganda gorillas wildlife safaris
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
To start this 5 days Uganda gorillas and wildlife safaris, you will need to have arrived in Uganda the previous day or arriving in the country in the early morning hours.
Our guide will arrive at your hotel or airport in the early morning and pick you up for a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to see gorillas in their natural habitat. This is an 8-10 hour drive and throughout your trip, you will get to enjoy picturesque views of the beautiful country side that’s made of rolling hills and valleys, plantations and much more.
On this trip, you will also get to see the long horned cattle grazing in farms and also have a chance to have a look at the roadside vendors as well.
You will have a stopover at the equator sign in Kayabwe and another stop over at Igongo Cultural centre in Mbarara for lunch.
You will then proceed to Bwindi, upon arrival you will check in to your lodge and rest.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural experience
You will wake up in the early morning, take breakfast and then later our guide will pick you up and take you to the park headquarters for briefing about the guidelines you need to follow while close to the gorillas and during the tracking of the gorillas.
After the briefing, you will be led into the dense rainforest in search of the mountain gorillas and on spotting them you will be allowed to spend time of up to 1hr while observing and taking as many photos as you want of these massive creatures as they play and feed.
You will then be led back to the park headquarters and awarded with a certificate indicating that you did participate in gorilla trekking in Uganda. Our guide will the take you back to your lodge for lunch and resting.
After a few hours of resting, you will then be led to the Batwa community for a cultural experience. While here, you will get the opportunity to see how these interact with each other and also get a chance to see them perform for you.
Our guide will then take you back to your lodge to take dinner and then rest.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park, game drive
You will wake up in the early morning and take breakfast. Thereafter our guide will drive you to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the Ishasha sector- popularly known to be home to the tree climbing lions for a game drive.
While here, you will get to see the lions and other wildlife species as they roam freely in the national park. You will head back to your lodge for lunch and then rest.

Day 4: Game drive in Kasenyi plains and Boat cruise
You will wake up early in the morning, take breakfast and then head for a game drive in the Kasenyi plains which has a number of wildlife species that you can see on your trip. These include species like the lions, elephants, leopards, spotted hyenas, side-striped jackals, buffaloes, Ugandan kobs, bushbucks, topis and much more. After this you will then back to your lodge for lunch and rest.
In the afternoon after resting, you will then be taken to the Kazinga channel for a boat cruise that introduces you to some of the wildlife species that reside here that include crocodiles, hippos, several species of birds and you will also get the chance to see others on the shores of the lake that include elephants, buffaloes among others. It’s a rewarding experience and you definitely cant afford missing taking those award winning photographs.
You will then head back to your lodge for dinner for dinner and resting.

Day 5: Early morning game drive and transfer to Kampala
Wake up, take breakfast and check out of your lodge and our driver will take you for a brief game drive in the park before you embark on a trip back to Kampala.
On your trip back to Kampala, you will a brief stop over in Mbarara for lunch and proceed to Kampala as you enjoy the incredible beautiful countryside.
